Scrap Management and Usage
Use the toolbar buttons or the Scrap menu to create, delete, or duplicate scraps.

You name each scrap, and then enter the text for that scrap in the right hand text view.

You can select a scrap name, and use the copy command to put the entire scrap on the clipboard, ready to be pasted - or simply drag the scrap name and drop into another application.
Run Scrap in Terminal
Many Mac OS X users have collected a number of UNIX commands that they've gleaned from different sources. You can use Scrapper to store these various and sundry commands in one place, and easily execute them in Terminal.

To run a scrap in Terminal:

1. Create a scrap and enter a UNIX command exactly as you would enter it into Terminal.

2. U
se the Run Scrap In Terminal command in the Scrap menu

You can also use
Command-R or add a Run Scrap in Terminal button to the toolbar.

To help you remember what each command snippet is for, you can also enter UNIX shell script-style comments. Blank lines and any line that begins with a '#' will be ignored, and not sent to Terminal.

For example:

# This command displays all active processes
# Lines that begin with a '#' are not sent to Terminal

ps -cax

The scraps of all open Scrapper files are accessible from the Dock. The Dock contains a list of opened Scrapper documents, each has a submenu containing all scraps.

1. Control-click or click and hold the launched application icon in the Dock.

2.
Select the name of an opened Scrapper document to reveal the submenu containing all of that document's scraps.

3. Select a scrap name to put the scrap contents on the clipboard.

4. Paste the scrap into another application.
International Support
Scrapper uses the built-in international support of Mac OS X to display text clippings and their titles in all supported languages, including Japanese, Chinese, Hebrew, Arabic, and Thai.

Scrapper is localized in Japanese, thanks to collaboration with E-WA in Japan.

If you would like to volunteer to help localize Scrapper into another language, please contact dempsey@mac.com.
